Privacy Policy
In short
- Kindedo has no accounts, no ads, no tracking and no third-party analytics.
- Everything about your child — profiles, progress, stars, stickers and paintings — stays on your device.
- The only thing the app sends us is an anonymous crash report when something goes wrong.
- Purchases are handled by Apple or Google; we never see your payment details.
1. Who we are
AMEDYA LTD, a company registered in England and Wales (“we”, “us”), makes the Kindedo app and runs kindedo.com. We are responsible for the data described here. Questions: [email protected].
2. Children’s privacy
Kindedo is made for children aged 2 to 6, used with a parent or guardian. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. The details a parent enters about a child stay on the device and are never sent to us. Settings, purchases, and anything that leaves the children’s area sit behind a parental gate (press and hold, then answer a sum).
We follow the US Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), the UK and EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the UK Age Appropriate Design Code, Apple’s rules for the Kids Category and Google Play’s Families Policy.
3. What stays on your device
This information is stored only on the device where Kindedo is installed. We cannot see it, and it is not synced to us:
- Child profiles: a nickname, an avatar, and the birth month and year (used to choose the right level). No real names or photos are needed.
- Progress: which activities were finished, plus mistakes and hints, used only to make the next activity easier or harder.
- Stars, stickers, Kindo’s outfits, Sticker Book layouts and saved paintings.
- Play time and parent settings such as time limits and which activities are switched on.
To delete it, go to Parent area › Offline & data and delete one child’s data or everything, or delete the app. Deletion is immediate. Device backups you make (for example iCloud) follow Apple’s or Google’s own policies.
4. What we receive
Crash and diagnostic reports. When the app crashes or hits an error, it sends a report to a server we operate ourselves (GlitchTip, using the open-source Sentry software). A report contains the app version, the operating system version, the device model and memory, technical details of the error, and the name of the screen that was open (for example “Number Safari”). Reports do not contain names, ages, birth dates, progress, answers, photos, location, contacts, advertising identifiers or any device identifier, and the app does not track sessions. We use them only to find and fix problems.
Emails you send us. If you write to us, we use your email address and message to reply.
This website. kindedo.com uses no cookies, no analytics and no advertising. Our hosting provider (Cloudflare) processes the IP address of each visit to deliver the page and protect it from attacks.
5. What we never do
- No advertising of any kind, and no advertising identifiers.
- No tracking across apps or websites, and no selling or renting of data.
- No third-party analytics or advertising software in the app.
- No chat, social features or sharing with other users.
- No access to the camera, microphone, photos, contacts or location.
- No artificial intelligence that talks to children. Activities are written in advance and checked by people.
6. Purchases
Kindedo Plus is bought through the App Store or Google Play. Apple or Google takes the payment under their own privacy policies; we do not receive your name, email or card details. The app checks on the device whether a purchase is active.
7. Legal basis (UK and EU)
We process crash reports and support emails on the basis of our legitimate interest in keeping Kindedo working and answering you. Information on your device is processed by the app on your device, at your request.
8. Who helps us
We use a small number of service providers, under contracts that require them to protect the data: DigitalOcean (hosting for our crash-report server), Cloudflare (website hosting and email routing) and our email provider. We do not share data with anyone else, unless the law requires it.
9. How long we keep it
Crash reports are deleted automatically after 90 days. Support emails are kept only as long as we need them to help you, and no longer than 24 months.
10. Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete personal data we hold about you, or object to how we use it, by writing to [email protected]. Because crash reports carry no identifiers, we usually cannot link one to you. In the UK you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk); in the EU, to your local data protection authority. Parents in the US can contact us with any COPPA question.
11. Security
Data on the device is protected by the device’s own security. Reports travel over encrypted connections (HTTPS) to a server only our team can access.
12. Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date above and, for important changes, tell you in the app’s parent area before they apply.
